The most efficient route for those arriving from outside Spain is to fly to Madrid and then take a high-speed train to Ciudad Real. This journey takes approximately one hour and there are more than 15 trains connecting Madrid and Ciudad Real each day. Further information can be found here.
The departure point for trains to Ciudad Real from Madrid, is Atocha Train Station. There are excellent connections between Madrid Airport and Atocha Train Station, with convenient options available for travellers. Taxis are available for a fee of approximately €35. Then in Ciudad Real, the most used public transport is the urban bus, operated by Ciudad Real Movilidad, which connects the city's main areas. Ciudad Real is compact (around 19 km²), and most areas are walkable from the centre.
The city centre is also accessible on foot from the conference venue. It's about 1.5 km away, or a 20-minute walk.
